On Friday, April 3rd, Madonna was rejected by Judge Esme Chombo to adopt a 3-year-old child from Malawi because she has not been a resident of the country for the last 18 months says NYTimes. Madonna has adopted before, her son David Banda which was completed in 2008 but Judge Esme was warned against celebrity adoptions saying it could lead to child ‘trafficking’. Anyone could come to Malawi and arrange for adoption but could have great consequences on the children.

A ton of people have said that Madonna is juts doing this for attention and seen the publicity Brangelina get for adopting children from 3rd world countries and wants the same. Everyone thinks that Madonna is adopting for the wrong reasons. As nice as it is for a child to be adopted and some wait for this moment for their entire livesat the same time, it has to be accepted into a loving and functional family which might not be the case with Madonna. So then again I ask, where are the boundaries drawn?

Guy Ritchie has been awarded a divorce settlement worth at least $75 million (49 million pounds) from Madonna. According to reports, the decision is thought to make the Madonna’s divorce one of the biggest divorce agreements in U.K. history.

Apparently Madonna is ok with it as reports are all a flutter that the pair will be spending the holidays together, for the sake of the kids of course.

Well, for those of you who are much like me, here’s the scoop:

It started up a few weeks ago when Rosie O’Donnell made fun of Donald Trump on her new morning show The View. Positioning her hair to resemble Trump’s, she mocked him after he announced his decision to give Miss USA, Tara Conner, a second chance after she had been caught, partying excessively in NYC.

After Trump got word of what O’Donnell had done, he went began calling her all sorts of names, claiming she was ugly inside and out.

Thus began the back and forth cycle of harsh very public words between O’Donnell and Trump.  And now, Barbara Walters has found herself caught up in the middle. According to Trump, Barbara Walters rang him after the big blow-out and said, “working with [O'Donnell] is like living in hell and, more pointedly, ‘Donald, never get into the mud with pigs’ and, don’t worry, she won’t be here too long.’”

It seems that celebrities from all over are now coming out of the woodwork taking sides.  Ivanka stepped out in defense of her father while Madonna, close friend of O’Donnell has stepped up saying “People are giving Rosie a hard time, I wish they’d stop. I don’t think it’s fair.”

Madonna, starred with O’Donnell in 1992’s “A League of Their Own” filmed right here in Indiana too, I might add.

So, there you have it!  The Donald versus Rosie!  Not exactly the typical ‘relationship’ kind of news we share here on CelebAmour, but I thought since everyone else was talking about it, we might as well too!

The father of Britney’s two children is shooting for a $20million settlement and custody of their two children, 15-month-old Sean Preston and three-month-old Jayden James.

In a recent interview a source close to KFed says the star is prepared to prove Britney to be an unfit mother in a tell-all book if he doesn’t get what he asking for. The book will reportedly detail the singer’s drug use, partying and her lesbian tendencies.

Isn’t this awfully close to extortion and isn’t it against the law?

Personally, I think they should let Angelina Jolie or Madonna adopt the kiddos.  Neither one of them seems to be ready to settle down.

I still stand behind my thought that people who KNEW who Madonna was/is and how much money she’s worth have poisoned the mind of little David’s father.

I think it just goes to show that no matter how 3rd world anyone is or how far removed from the media they are, everyone is capable of trying to jump the train to financial opportunity – even at the cost of a childs happiness and security.

“Our understanding was that they would educate and take care of our son just as they were doing at the orphanage,” Yohane Banda, 32, told AP in a telephone interview on Sunday. “I am just realizing now the meaning of adoption.”

I think it’s rather umm convenient that he realizes this AFTER the adoption – could it possibly have anything to do with having time to realize just how famous and wealthy Madonna is?

Methinks the dad wants to be adopted too!

Perhaps this is a bit harsh, but personally, I’d take the baby back – rather than maintain an ongoing fight about who knew what about adoption, perhaps the father should take the responsibility and live with the guilt that he cheated his son out of a life even *I* dream of.

Regardless of whether or not it’s a publicity stunt – the world is becoming just a little brighter place thanks to the stars investing in areas that need it most.

Though I can’t fathom just how one person can walk into a room where several children are hoping to become adopted by someone like Madonna or Angelina Jolie only to pick one and walk away.

How could anyone live with the images of all the other children after making that decision?
