Former Creed frontman Scott Stapp and his wife Jaclyn welcomed their first child – a daughter Milan Hayat Stapp, Thursday in Miami, Fla.
Stapp’s representative says the baby’s name has a significant meaning, explaining, “Milan has been chosen from Scott’s Cherokee heritage for its definition, which is ‘to have the creativity of God.’
“Hayat is from Jaclyn’s Jordanian upbringing and is simply ‘to give life.’”
Stapp, 33, and Jaclyn, 26, wed in February on the waterfront in Biscayne Bay, Fla.
The singer has already written a song for his new daughter, which will appear on his forthcoming second solo album.

Hours after the former Creed frontman tied the knot with beauty queen Jaclyn Nesheiwat in Miami on Friday, the rocker was rung up for public intoxication in Los Angeles.

Stapp, en route to his Hawaiian honeymoon, was stopped from boarding a plane at Los Angeles International Airport Saturday after airline personnel deemed the rocker “antagonistic” and “boisterous.”
A spokesman for the airport police, Lieutenant Tyrone Stallings, said the rocker was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in a public place and taken to the Van Nuys station for processing.
