Mayer Dumps Simpson

WE’RE sure John Mayer had fun with Jessica Simpson while it lasted. Last week, Us Weekly proclaimed they were dating. People magazine even went so far as to quote a Simpson pal as saying they were “in love.” But Mayer has already dumped Simpson, because, insiders say, she and her pals are too loose-lipped for the reclusive Mayer.
