David Duchovny has entered a rehabilitation center for sex addiction, his lawyer, Stanton “Larry” Stein.

“I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”

Duchovny, 48, married to actress Tea Leoni in 1997. The couple have two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.

What a tough ordeal for a family to endure, especially one who lives in the ever observing public eye.

I do hope they can overcome this hardship for the sake of their children and for the sake of a beloved Hollywood couple.

If it were coming from anyone else, I’d believe it were a joke.  Coming from the mouth of Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie, I believe it.

When a Hong Kong TV channel reporter asked Pitt if his twins look more like him or Angelina Jolie, George Clooney stepped in again.

“The twins are fine,” he said, according to Reuters.

When asked if Clooney had plans to settle down and have kids himself, Clooney responded, “I am so surprised to hear that question. That is honestly the first time I’ve been asked that question,” he joked. “I am getting married and having children today. Brad?”

Replied Pitt, “And until then I’ll be sharing mine with him. I’ll have two more by next year.”

Granted, the context of the statement was pure sarcasm – but I could see the Jolie-Pitt clan growing by at least a half dozen more.  Can’t you?

Why else would Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson turn date-night into a family affair?  Their pair dined at New York’s Bar Pitti with their mother’s, Dina Lohan and Ann Dexter Jones.

While sources stated they all seemed very comfortable with one another and as though they’d done this sort of thing before.

I do have to wonder though, just what the plans are between these two.  They seem to be including their respective families more.

My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee and his girlfriend, Ceren Alkac, are the parents of a girl born August 10.  No further details are known at this time.

Lee, 38, also has a 4-year-old son, Pilot with his ex, actress Beth Riesgraf.

Latin American singing hottie, Ricky Martin, who is loved by both straights and gays has become the father of twin boys.  The boys were delivered via gestational surrogacy with no further details being revealed.

Ricky will be taking time out of his busy career schedule to focus on being a father and raising his two sons.

Martin, 36, is a native of Puerto Rico and gained fame as a singer in boy band Menudo. His 1999 album “Ricky Martin” and its smash hit song “Livin’ la Vida Loca” (living the crazy life) that made him a widely recognized pop star. Other hits for the top-selling artist include “She Bangs.”

Congratulations to the new dad.  We wish he and the twins a lifetime of happiness.

Matt and Lucy Damon had a baby girl named Gia Zavala on Wednesday, Aug. 20th.

Gia is the third little girl in the Damon family, joining big sisters Isabella, 2, and Alexia, 10.

Damon and Luciana met in Miami Beach in 2003 while he was filming the comedy Stuck on You.  They married in Manhattan in December, 2005.

Damon has revealed he’ll be taking the rest of the year off to spend time with his growing family.

We wish the happy couple and their newest arrival all the best.

If you’ve ever seen The Notebook, you’ll be able to appreciate the passion that obviously goes on between Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling.  Since I saw that movie the first of 20+ times, they have been one of my favorite couples.

It seems like the reality series bug has bitten former Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen co-star Jodie Sweetin.

Could she be following in the footsteps of Jessica Simpson and Tori Spelling?  And does the world hate Jodie as much as Tori that they would tune in week after week to see what activities go on in the Sweetin/Herpin household?

Jodie Sweetin and her husband Cody Herpin have confirmed that they are going to start filming in a couple of months and that this will be their family affair through their day to day life with 7-week-old baby girl, Zoie Laurelmae Herpin whom Jodie gave birth to via emergency caesarian.

I’m not sure Jodie has enough of a following to make a reality show quite as successful as Tori and Dean – mostly because Jodie is such a good girl and frankly, no one buys the Leave it to Beaver storylines anymore.  Though I could be surprised.

For some reason that’s beyond all comprehension, beautiful Beth Ostrosky will be taking the walk down the aisle this weekend to wed her fiance’ of just over a year, Howard Stern.

Howard Stern is a radio show host and shock jock and shock is what he does best – besides looking like a washed up has-been.

Beth and Howard became engaged Valentine’s Day of 2007.

The couple plan on following suit of many other celebrities who opt for multiple ceremonies.  The first ceremony will be in the Hampton’s in front of family and friends and will undoubtedly a lavish event. In October the couple will throw a more “intimate” affair.

Mark Consuelos, Kelly Ripa’s husband, is actually an ordained minister and he is the one that will marry Beth Ostrosky and Howard Stern. When asked if Regis would also be in attendance, Beth said, “It’s not that kind of thing. It’s spiritual.”

For those who may be wondering, Stern is 54 and Beth Ostrosky is 36, that’s a whopping 18 years difference.  Albeit it looks to be about 100 years age difference.

Either way, you’ve just gotta wish them well.
