Jamie Lynn Spears and fiance’, Casey Aldridge are going to take the plunge into married life later this year.

Reports are all a flutter, that Jamie is planning her wedding.  Despite their fame, you won’t be seeing this young couple swapping their vows at some 5-star resort, but rather, they will be sticking close to home.

Jamie Lynn’s new $300,000 home in Liberty, Mississippi is only minutes from her mom Lynne Spears’ house, Serenity, in Kentwood, Louisiana and sits on three acres, which is more than enough space to put up a tent for a private, late fall ceremony.

There is some speculation that baby Maddie will have her own role to play in the wedding.  Apparently she will be nestled in a basket, surrounded by flowers and carried into the ceremony by her grandmother’s.

What is it with so many celebrities having twins all the sudden?

Doesn’t it seem much more prevalent now than ever before?  Or is it just me?

Anywho – the scoop is:

Us Weekly has learned that Rebecca Romijn, 35, and Jerry O’Connell, 34, are expecting twins this winter.

A spokesman for the couple confirmed the news Monday morning.

The babies will be the first children for the pair.

This follows the recent interview with Jerry O’Connell that let the world know they were trying to become pregnant.  Well, now we know they were doing more than trying.

Recently, Britney Spears relinquished full custody of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.  As the result of the agreement, she did receive expanded visitation by doing so.

I guess the custody battle was too much for her to deal with and needed a much needed vacation for a little R&R so she packed her bags and headed off for a weekend in Cabo San Lucas with her pal George Maloof, who’s the owner of the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Levi McConaughey is not even three-weeks-old and already, surfer dude/part-time actor dad, Matthew McConaughey, is taking him to the beach.

It’s a good thing model mommy Camilla Alves was along, she provided the ride in a nice comfy baby sling.

Take a look at her – don’t you just hate women who can pop out a baby and look that amazing in under three weeks?

According to Digital Spy, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have asked U2 frontman Bono to be the godfather to their 2-week-old twins, Knox and Vivienne.

I can’t think of any greater reason to ask someone to be godfather to my kids than:

• thinking the world of them
• being a fan of their music for eons
• picking someone who is just as big a freak as the children’s mother

Source goes on to state the couple have yet to select a godmother, but insiders are saying they’re taking a long look at Jenny Shimzu, former lover to Angelina.

Now if that doesn’t complete the happy little effed up family, I don’t know what does.

It seems Heather Mills has gone Heather Mills again and this time it’s caused her own publicist to quit.

In a statement issued by Michele Elyzabeth, “Since her divorce [from Paul McCartney] has become final, in my opinion, Heather has become an impossible person.”

Elyzabeth has nerves of steal if you ask me – she managed to maintain a working relationship with Mills for FOUR long grueling years.

And here I thought Heather was trying to secure an image as a humanitarian of some sort.

After the recent exploits of Balthazar Getty sucking face with topless actress Sienna Miller, I can’t say that I’m overly shocked that a separation has been announced.

Balthazar and his wife Rosetta Getty have four children together.  I do feel for the children and his wife when it comes to the non-stop coverage of the very public affair.

People reports that Rosetta left the country with her kids on tow in attempt to protect them from the public scandal.

I hope she goes Heather Mills on his ass.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have placed their Manhattan apartments on the market.

Gisele’s West Village penthouse has been slashed from $10.9 to $5.9 million since the original listing price September.

Tom Brady’s Columbus Circle pad is listed at $18.29 million.

Gisele’s triplex overlooks the Hudson River and features a wraparound terrace, roof deck that contains a hot tub and built-in barbecue.

Sounds as though the couple is offering up the best of both worlds.

I’ll admit, I was a little heartbroken when learning that Pink and motocross racing husband, Carey Hart were splitting.

While there may be a little wild child in both of them, I knew there was a softer side lurking deep down.

While making an appearance at the opening of his new Las Vegas club, Wasted Space, in the Hard Rock Hotel Hart commented, “It’s a tough situation to be in but I love her to death.”

It doesn’t sound like he’s jumped right back into the dating scene either.

Hart confesses he still misses his ex. “I miss everything about her,” he says. And in the wake of their split, “I became a workaholic,” says the motocross star. “I work 19 hours a day.”

I do hope they end up getting back together.
