Loni Anderson Weds Photo Opp Participant 45 Years Later

June 29, 2008 by Gayla McCord

Loni Anderson, 62, married folk singer Bob Flick in California on May 17.

As fate would have it, a posed photo in 1963 is credited for first uniting the pair.

The same photo was used to decorate their wedding cake – what an adorable addition to the days events.

Long story short… Both attended a movie premiere in Minneapolis when Anderson was sent for a fan photo opp with Flick and his group.  While the pair married on May 17th, they had their reception on June 23 at Vibrato Grill Jazz … Etc. in Bel Air, Calif.

People reports the inscription on the cake read, “When we met, 5-17-63.”

How sweet the two would marry on the same day – 45 years later.

We do wish them all the best.

That is an incredibly sweet story! It would be awesome if more people had photographic evidence of their first meeting :P
