Golden Globes Telecast Cancelled

The Golden Globes telecast, Hollywood’s biggest party of the year, has been canceled, according to DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com, this is due to the ongoing writers strike.

Instead of a televised awards show, the HFPA will announce the winners, via broadcast on NBC News as part of a “stripped-down” ceremony. As a news event, this will presumably allow for winners to accept their awards and then head over to a press room for interviews and photos.

Gosh, January just won’t be the same, will it?
