The very troubled, Britney Spears was taken from her home by ambulance for the second time early this morning.

A police officer on duty outside Ms Spears’ mansion said that the pop star was being taken “to get help”, although he did not say where.

Reports indicate that emergency services were called by a psychiatrist who has been treating Spears at 1.30am local time. It said that she had been taken to the UCLA Medical Center where she was placed on a 5150 hold – the US equivalent of being sectioned, the involuntary confinement of a person deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.

It’s sad to say, but I think this is one of the last ditch efforts those close to Britney can do to truly help her. Letting her spin out of control while waiting for her to grow up isn’t going to work. She’s too far gone for that.

I do hope this effort to help the pop star will be enough.

After a romantic dinner date, Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson dropped in on karaoke night at L.A.’s Key Club Monday night.

After some coaxing from the audience, Romo too the stage to sing: Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.”

As he belted out the hit, Simpson alternated between kissing him on the cheek, wrapping her arms around him and staring dreamily into his eyes.

Witnesses are saying, Jess was obviously on cloud nine.

Judging from the images, she always seems to be touching Brad and leaning into him. He’s seems rather secure. She on the other hand, does not.

Heath Ledger, 28, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 2005 for his role as a gay cowboy in “Brokeback Mountain,” was found dead today in a Manhattan apartment, New York police told CNN. No immediate cause of death was given.

Ledger’s housekeeper found him dead in his Manhattan apartment. Reports indicate he passed at 3:26 p.m. after New York Fire Department received a call at 2:27 today responding to a “cardiac arrest call” in New York. They found Ledger unresponsive at the scene.

Four paparazzi have been arrested on suspicion of reckless driving while chasing Britney Spears’ car in the San Fernando Valley, police said.

Roberto Maciel, 31, Leandro Gomes, 30, Filipi Teixeira, 27, and Eduardo Ravalah, 34, were booked for investigation of reckless driving.
