Jamie Lynn Spears boyfriend could face statutory rape charges
December 20, 2007 by Gayla McCord

Fox News reports that if the baby was conceived in Spears’ home state of Louisiana, the act could technically be considered “felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.”
Louisiana law defines this unlawful carnal knowledge as “sexual intercourse with consent between someone age 19 or older and someone between age 12 and 17.”
In Louisiana a person can only legally consent to sex at age 17. If aged 15 or 16, the other person involved must be no more than two years older for the act to be considered legal.
The sad thing is, this poor kid will probably have to pay some asinine price for having sex with a Spears while the other celebs can drink, get behind the wheel of a car, risk the lives of others and serve mere hours!
What do you think? Should Casey be charged with a crime or should someone just bitch slap Jamie Lynn and Britney’s mother?

Those statutory rape charges are bunk. Ridiculous. The mom needs her head examined for all the shit she’s teaching her kids. She should have been a mother to them not a manager.
Anyone else would be in jail. No exception for this guy.
NO! he should not go to jail, he did nothing wrong people make mistakes
The fact that statutory rape is not being considered is a blatant display of celebrity privilege..Sad truth…becoming part of the Spears family may be torture enough
)
Drag them both over the hot coals for this display. Set an example for our youth that this behavior of young teen pregnancy and carelessness is not acceptable.
i think he should go to jail because jamie is only sixteen and it says 17 or older is legal but louisiana can deal with that
Obviously the spear’s family needs to be severely punished. The mother in particular, since she is responsible legally for her minor daughter’s criminal behavior.
