Mayer Dumps Simpson

WE’RE sure John Mayer had fun with Jessica Simpson while it lasted. Last week, Us Weekly proclaimed they were dating. People magazine even went so far as to quote a Simpson pal as saying they were “in love.” But Mayer has already dumped Simpson, because, insiders say, she and her pals are too loose-lipped for the reclusive Mayer. One person in the Mayer camp told Us Weekly the relationship “was a 2 [that] her camp spun into an 11 . . . [Mayer] thinks it’s desperate . . . an attempt to stay in the spotlight.

Sure it could be that she and her gal pals talk too much, but don’t you think it might have something to do with having to date her daddy too?
