TV’s Best Non-Couples
MSNBC started this topic by listing the top 5 non-couples in television.
The five they list are:
Pam and Jim, “The Office”
Ross and Rachel, “Friends”
Will and Grace, “Will & Grace”
Maddie and Dave, “Moonlighting”
Simon and Paula, “American Idol”
A few others that found themselves listed on their poll were:
George and Bailey, “Grey’s Anatomy”
Mulder and Scully, “The X-Files”
Grissom and Sara, “CSI”
Ted and Robin, “How I Met Your Mother”
Gabrielle and John, “Desperate Housewives”
Sawyer and Kate, “Lost”
Jack and Samantha, “Without a Trace”
So who’s missing from this list? Have a favorite television non-couple? Tell us who they are and why.
Me? I’d have to say Charlie and Rose on Two and a Half Men.

[…] We all know them and in many cases it’s a real love/hate relationship. They are TV’s most notorious non-couples. They are the two that make you curl up in front of the television each and every week, just to see what transpires between these two flaming idiots that just don’t ever seem to hook-up. They’re the best of friends, the worst of enemies – but they are our addictions. […]

Actually a few of those listed eventually were couples, as in Ross and Rachel, Friends new best and ended the show with them back together. They didn’t want their fans raving as the show went off the air. :)

You’re right! I was very glad they ended it that way!
Too - there are couples that used to be couples that went back to friends and there’s that constant tension between them - like Samantha and Jack on Without a Trace.
Those are the one’s that drive me nuts!
