Elton John and Partner Set a Date
Elton John and his longtime partner, David Furnish, are planning a small civil ceremony to seal their union on Dec. 21, after laws recognizing gay partnerships go into effect in Britain. .
Furnish, 43, is a Canadian-born filmmaker who was responsible for the documentary about Elton John called Tantrums & Tiaras in 1997 and has John’s partner for 12 years.
“As far as I’m concerned, I’ve always considered myself committed to Elton and he’s the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with,” Furnish was quoted as saying.

Having been an Elton John fan - that seems like forever now (even giving birth on his birthday to twin boys while listening to EJ’s music) and watched from a distance as he unselfishly placed others before himself, I have to say I wish him all the best and hope that he finds the peace and happiness he deserves.
