I never really thought about what a great place the Super Bowl would be to do a little celeb watching, but the pictures below prove that it’s not only great for general star gazing, but for catching some celeb super couples — and their families — spending some quality time together, too!

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher tried to avoid the paps as they headed into Sun Life stadium in Florida for the big game yesterday afternoon.

Brad Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt spent some father/son time together for the game (Angelina Jolie managed to sneak in undetected!).

Hilary Swank and Harry Connick, Jr., who co-starred in 2007’s P.S. I Love You, met up on the field for some pictures with Connick’s daughter, Charlotte. (Swank and Connick are not a couple, but are good friends!)

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, along with their daughter Suri, were spotted headed into the stadium but managed to avoid too much exposure.

Charlie Sheen is now facing felony menacing charges from the domestic violence incident between him and his wife Brooke Mueller this past Christmas.

Charlie is scheduled to appear in an Aspen, Colorado court this coming Monday for his arraignment, though he won’t be entering a plea. The judge will also be dealing with the protective order preventing Charlie from seeing Brooke, who was hospitalized shortly after the incident due to pneumonia.

This has not been a good day for Charlie, who woke up early this morning to find that his Mercedes Benz SUV had been stolen and crashed into a ravine near his Sherman Oaks, California home. No one was found at the scene of the crash when police arrived.

The perpetually lovelorn Jennifer Aniston has apparently decided she’s done with dating guys from the entertainment scene and is instead going to focus her attention on finding a wealthy businessman to spend the rest of her life with.

In a recent Us Magazine article, an “insider” spilled that Jen is done with having a partner who’s also in the spotlight, and she’s ready for someone who has nothing to do with Tinseltown, saying “She wants to be set up with a wealthy businessman, not a celebrity.”

However, another “insider” (does anyone else wish these people would just fess up?) says they’re not so sure that’s going to happen, because “She always ends up drifting back to actors and musicians. Her friends want a normal guy, but she’s drawn to the attention.”

It sounds to me like Jen needs a new set of non-yappy friends to go along with a new beau!

Looking quite stylish and rather handsome, Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his longtime girlfriend Reena Hammer were spotted in New York City yesterday heading back to their hotel after grabbing some food and drinks at a Dunkin Donuts.

Jonathan and Reena have been together since 2004, though the relationship has had its ups and downs, with him having been checked into rehab facilities several times since 2005.

Jonathan is currently starring in the action flick “From Paris with Love,” which costars John Travolta and hits theaters this Friday, February 5. Jonathan plays James Reese, who is an employee in the office of the US Ambassador. He joins forces with FBI Agent Charlie Wax (Travolta) looking to stop a terrorist attack in the city.

He’s also working on the final season of The Tudors, the original Showtime series in which Jonathan stars as King Henry VIII.

Mel Gibson and his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, were spotted on the red carpet at the premiere of Mel’s newest movie, Edge of Darkness, at the Palafox Cinema in Madrid, Spain yesterday.

Mel recently talked about the movie, in which he stars as homicide detective Thomas Craven who investigates the death of his activist daughter. He uncovers not only her secret life, but a corporate cover-up and government collusion that attracts an agent tasked with cleaning up the evidence.

Mel said: “The dark side of large companies is a particularly relevant theme now given what we’ve witnessed from large corporations and their participation in the economic crisis.”

Mel and Oksana, who is a Russian musician, have been together for a couple of years now and are parents to Mel’s eighth child, daughter Lucia, born this past October. Mel’s other seven kids were with his soon-to-be ex-wife Robyn, whom he married in 1980 and separated from in 2006.

Liam Neeson was spotted exiting the Regent Hotel in Berlin, Germany this weekend with a mystery woman. Of course, she could be anyone and it’s easy to speculate that he may already be dating, but it seems he’s still grieving the tragic and sudden death of his wife, actress Natasha Richardson, from a skiing accident just last March.

The two headed to Gendamerie restaurant and there was no indication that the two were more than just friends. I haven’t been able to find any more information about the encounter but I guess time will tell.

Liam and Natasha were married in 1994 and had two sons together before her death in March 2009.

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood was on hand at the annual Sens’ Soiree fundraiser at the Hilton Lac Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec this past week and fans finally got to see some cute pics of her and her brand-new fiance, Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher, together!

The event was their first “official” red carpet appearance together and as you can see they both look pretty happy about it! The two were at the event to help raise money for four local hospital foundations, and they served as celebrity dealers at a blackjack table before mingling with guests and hockey players.

Carrie and Mike have been engaged since this past December and have not yet set a wedding date.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack talks about the morning that Brittany died last December.

In the four page interview TheDailyBeast.com, Monjack talks about Brittany’s last moments:

“I came running in. I immediately started doing CPR.”

“I felt a tiny heart beat,” Monjack said, his voice cracking over the phone. “I was pushing with the heel of my hand. And every second I pushed, I felt my hand become stronger and her heart weaker. And then it stopped. And I kept pushing. She died in my arms. I knew she was dead.”

Monjack has also recently announced that he plans to sue Warner Brothers Studios in a wrongful death lawsuit, saying that their termination of Brittany in the Happy Feet sequel just weeks before her death caused the heart attack that killed her.

Personally I don’t see that he’s really got a case there, but I guess time will tell.

Brittany and Simon had been married for two years before her death in December 2009.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are two of the most private couples in Hollywood. However, Jen recently opened up during an interview with Parade magazine, and Ben apparently isn’t terribly pleased about it!

Jen mentioned that while the two were dating, Ben would send her “very persuasive” e-mails, and that he is “sexy and kind, but he’s also a riot. We can be very goofy together.”

In an interview with Access Hollywood this weekend, Ben stated: “I do write e-mails to my wife, that is true. Sounds like the kind of thing that my wife was looking for something to say in the interview … and that’s what she same up with. So, thanks for that, because now here I am, doing another interview and then they ask me about that. So, thank you honey.” Ouch!

During her Parade sit-down, Jennifer talked about how she and Ben make time for each other while juggling their acting careers and two kids:

“You steal the time. You steal a date, you steal a kiss, you steal a whisper. You sit next to each other on the couch with computers on your laps. After the kids are asleep you…well, you know. Whatever it is. You slip away for a night, which we’ve only just now done for the first time. Of course, I call home while we’re away. Ben would be surprised if I didn’t.”

The couple first met on the set of the movie Daredevil in 2003, and were married in 2005.
